ABOUT THE BARBARIANS GROUP
Barbarians Group was set up in memory of our own much-loved barbarian, Conan. He was a generous, fun-loving, guitar-strumming, ball of energy. He also struggled with his mental health and tragically took his own life at the age of 23.
The Barbarians Group raises funds for mental health awareness and suicide prevention, in Conanâs memory. Community is at the heart of who we are. Research shows over and over that social connections and relationships improve mental health and can protect against suicide. Our mission is to create a strong community, where people feel connected, supported, and armed with the skills needed in whatever mental health difficulties they face.
We are focused on providing programs and initiatives to three areas;
1. Community well-being, particularly menâs mental health.
2. Youth mental health, working with schools to deliver workshops for our youth, their teachers and parents
3. Supporting the mental health of our rural communities.
Strong communities are harder to break. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can move mental mountains.

ABOUTÂ HAPPINESS CO FOUNDATION
At Happiness Co Foundation, our mission is to foster mental well-being through comprehensive approaches. By sponsoring mental health workshops, we provide individuals with the necessary tools to effectively manage their mental health and nurture happiness.
Supporting youth mental health is paramount, as it lays the foundation for a healthier and happier future generation. Schools serve as a crucial avenue to educate and provide support to youth who may otherwise lack access to such resources. Recognising this need, we are particularly enthusiastic about extending our impact by collaborating with Happiness Co and Barbarians Group to offer subsidised workshops for our youth.
These workshops are in line with our Switched On program, which is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of young people. Through education, support, and access to resources, we aim to empower youth to navigate life's challenges with resilience and optimism.

As a community, we move mountains. Thank you for helping us on our mission to positively impact ten million lives in ten years.

Brayden was excellent in delivering a relevant session to our Year 10 Health Education Students. He really had them thinking and I'm sure they took some real learnings from him with regard to mental health, peer pressure and values. Brayden was very professional and effective as he spoke to the students as a peer. He interacted well with them and was genuine. Great presentation from a young person that the students could easily identify with
Natasha Trandos (Trinity College) - Humanities Teacher
Brayden was an incredibly engaging speaker and really reached out to the students. After having many chats with my students after the presentation, it was clear that they were chatting about all that was discussed and many were surprised that they liked it as much as they did. Brayden was authentic and resonated with so many of the students that it was hard not to be captivated. I love all things social, emotional and well-being so I found this seminar just as useful as the students!
Armanda Di Toro (Northlake Senior Campus) - Year 11 Coordinator
Brayden was engaging from the very beginning. Our students come from all walks of life, from all cultures, some come to us very disengaged and having suffered trauma backgrounds. Yet, with all that diversity, they all walked out of our Auditorium affected by Braydenâs workshop and feeling his words. Some even âstormedâ the stage wanting to meet him! Sometimes lived experience talks can be triggers for students but Brayden delivered his truth in an accessible way which provided food for thought to all who attended, staff included.Â
